Where exactly are you?
We're in the village of Trelawnyd, near Dyserth, in Flintshire, North Wales, about three miles off the A55 and roughly 25 minutes from Chester. Our postcode is LL18 6EB. Please don't rely on the postcode for your sat nav. It drops you about 500 metres west of us, either at a neighbouring campsite opposite the garage, or at a farm lane with nowhere to turn a caravan around. We're 500 metres further east. Use what3words or our exact Google Maps pin, which both land you right at our gate. The what3words address for our gate is ///evidence.kilowatt.tropic.
What kinds of pitch do you have?
Two ways to stay. Eight new serviced 'super pitches', each a generous 8 metres square of level grass with electric hook-up and water on the pitch; plus open, level grass pitches, which have no electric hook-up. Both suit caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents.
How much does it cost?
Pitches start from £18 a night, and every price already includes two adults and two children, or three adults. There's a full price list on the Book page, with extras like awnings, dogs and extra guests, and you'll see the exact price for your dates before you pay.
When are you open?
We're a seasonal park, open easter to the end of september.
What time can we arrive and leave?
Check in is from 1pm, and check out is by 11am, unless by prior arrangement. If you're going to be later or need a little longer, just let us know and we'll do our best.
Can we have a campfire or a BBQ?
Campfires are welcome in approved firepits only, which keeps the site safe and the grass in good order. BBQs are absolutely fine before sunset. If in doubt, just ask.
Are there toilets, drinking water and somewhere to empty the cassette?
Yes. There are toilets on site for all our guests, fresh drinking water from a tap on every super pitch plus four more taps around the site, and an Elsan chemical disposal point for emptying your toilet cassette.
Can we come as a group?
Families and groups are welcome. We just ask that single-sex groups of more than six get in touch first, so we can make sure it's the right fit for the peaceful feel of the site.
Are dogs welcome?
Very. There's a dedicated dog-exercising area on site, footpaths for the morning walk straight from the gate, and several dog-friendly pubs nearby, including the Crown Inn about ten minutes' walk away.
Is it good for families?
Yes. It's a peaceful, spacious site with plenty of room for children, beaches and family days out a short drive away, and gentle walks close by.
How do I book?
Choose your dates, pick a pitch and pay securely on the Book page — your booking is confirmed straight away. If you'd rather ask a few questions first, you can send an enquiry instead and we'll come back to you.
Can I walk to a pub or a coffee?
Yes. Jacksons garden centre and coffee shop is about a five-minute walk (no dogs there, though), and the Crown Inn for a meal is around ten minutes on foot, with dogs welcome.
Is there good walking from the site?
Yes, and it's one of the best things about staying here. Footpaths lead right off the site, and the Offa's Dyke Path is about a mile and a half away, so you can be out among the hills within minutes of leaving your pitch.
Can I get there by train?
The nearest station is Prestatyn, about ten minutes away. Our virtual host can help you plan a car-free stay if you'd like.
What is there to do nearby?
