Frequently asked questions
A few of the things guests often ask. Can't see what you need? Ask our virtual host any time, or get in touch.
Where exactly are you?
We're in Trelawnyd, Denbighshire, North Wales (LL18 6EB). It's about three miles off the A55 and roughly 25 minutes from Chester, set in limestone hill country between the coast and the mountains.
What kinds of pitch do you have?
Two ways to stay. Eight new serviced 'super pitches', each a generous 8 metres square with electric hook-up and water on the pitch; plus open, level grass pitches for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents.
How much does it cost?
Pitches start from £20 a night. Send us your dates through the enquiry form and we'll confirm the price for your stay.
Are dogs welcome?
Very. There's a dedicated dog-exercising area on site, footpaths for the morning walk straight from the gate, and several dog-friendly pubs nearby, including the Crown Inn about ten minutes' walk away.
Is it good for families?
Yes. It's a peaceful, spacious site with plenty of room for children, beaches and family days out a short drive away, and gentle walks close by.
How do I book?
Send us your dates and a few details through the enquiry form and we'll come back to you to confirm availability and sort the rest. It's a quick enquiry rather than an instant online payment.
Can I walk to a pub or a coffee?
Yes. Jacksons garden centre and coffee shop is about a five-minute walk (no dogs there, though), and the Crown Inn for a meal is around ten minutes on foot, with dogs welcome.
Is there good walking from the site?
Public footpaths run straight from the gate, and the Offa's Dyke Path is about a mile and a half away. This is proper walking country with big skies and bigger views.
Can I get there by train?
The nearest station is Prestatyn, about ten minutes away. Our virtual host can help you plan a car-free stay if you'd like.
What is there to do nearby?
Castles, caves, waterfalls, sandy beaches, paddleboarding and the mountains are all within easy reach. Try our trip planner on the home page, or ask the virtual host, for ideas tailored to your group.
